Our new website

Welcome to our newly re-designed website! The launch of our new bd-hq.nl and bd-hq.eu websites is a big deal to us and we hope you find the changes useful.

One of the things we wanted to improve over the old bd-hq.eu site was to have a more clear distinction between information about our open community and information about our visions. We got a lot of feedback from members and guests which centered around the fact that they couldn't find what they needed on other sites. So we decided to create bd-hq.eu and have that as the home for all things related to our community.

As we started splitting out the content from the old site to a new website, we pretty quickly realised a site re-design was in order. We enlisted the help a few members helping with the design, Ectholian, who guided us through the technical process, and Parasite which did some DTP for the site and of course the members with their useful input. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and so a big Thank You goes to the other helping members. Thanks guys, you seriously rock.

VIP Mappack

BF: Bad Company 2 Screenshot

EA has released a new trailer for the upcoming VIP Map Pack 2 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. As the name of the DLC implies, this DLC is for VIP members only. Much like Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network, VIP membership is free for those who bought the game new. Meanwhile, those with used copies on Xbox or PlayStation 3 will have to fork over $15 (1200 points on Xbox) for a VIP membership. PC players (lucky dogs) are exempt from all this business and will receive the pack as an update.

It's worth noting that the map pack doesn't actually include any maps. Instead, it unlocks the Conquest Mode in Arica Harbor and Rush Mode in Laguna Presa. Still, it's essentially new gameplay for free, so it's hard to complain. Unless you aren't a VIP, of course. The DLC releases tomorrow, March 30.
